    DTS Office Challenge #2: Complete a Bike Race This FallIn early October, Patrick issued a challenge by writing on the white board at the warehouse: “DTS Office Challenge #2: Complete a Bike Race this Fall.” Katherine, always one to get excited about a challenge, tried to organize as many folks as possible from Discount Tri Supply and Kyle’s Bikes into doing it.

  • Ironman Cozumel 2013: Tami Ritchie’s Race Report

    Ironman Cozumel 2013 Bike CourseIronman Cozumel had a lot of ups and downs for me. If I think about the race too much I get a little too upset.

    Swim

    The night prior to the race, the swim was changed to a 1.9 mile swim, all with the current. Cozumel was experiencing an ‘el Norte’ or a cold front from the north that brings wind, storms, cold (relative, of course!), and different currents to the island and surrounding waters.

    The two official practice swims on Friday and Saturday were canceled. However, I swam both days and thought it was just fine. On Friday, it was a bit more challenging than normal, but, for me, swimmable. I could see how that day it could have been scary for a weak swimmer.

Even before I started working in a running shop, I had looked at them and wondered if there was any validity to the claims they made. I was also intrigued by the design and thought they just looked cool. So finally, I recently tried on a pair and I was immediately impressed. Had to have them!
