Garmin Forerunner 920XT GPS Triathlon Watch

The Garmin Forerunner 920XT doesn’t merely record your training, it is designed to guide it. This watch represents a huge leap beyond the 910XT and includes features Garmin has been introducing in other products.

The 920XT works indoors and out to collect every number you want to crunch: distance, pace, stroke count, stroke rate, and SWOLF score. Garmin has even included a drill logging feature, two rest timers, and alerts for pace, distance, calories, and stroke rate.

On race day you’ll find the the thinner profile and sleek design make this watch wetsuit friendly.

The 920XT is also compatible with Garmin's new HRM-Tri and HRM-Swim heart rate monitors.*

The built-in GPS can track your position and speed. Optional sensors give you more accurate speed (indoors and out) and cadence data.** The 920XT also displays and records power data*** when paired with ANT+ power meters, including the Garmin Vector.

Train with heart rate* and a power meter to take advantage of the Forerunner 920XT’s ability to derive your VO2 max estimate. Monitor changes in your fitness and compare yourself to others in your age group.

Now the advanced running dynamics features that Garmin developed for the Forerunner 620 are available in a triathlon watch!

The HRM-Run monitor (and HRM-Tri)* has the same size and fit as the soft strap HR monitor, but it includes an accelerometer so it can measure three running metrics not available before:

  • Cadence: It measures your number of steps per minute and total number of steps.
  • Vertical oscillation: It measures the bounce in your run in number of centimeters.
  • Ground contact time: It measures the the amount of time in milliseconds in each step that your foot spends on the ground.

With the HRM-Run monitor(and HRM-Tri)* you also get additional fitness metics. The watch estimates your VO2 max so you can track your improving fitness. It also uses this data to predict your finish time for a given race distance. The Forerunner 920XT can also guide you as a recovery advisor. It can estimate your state of recovery immediately following a run and give you a countdown to your next effort, and it provides a real-time assessment of your recovery in the first minutes of each run.

As with other Garmin products, you can download workouts to the watch and upload completed activities to Garmin Connect. And, when paired with your iPhone® 4S or later, it has all of Garmin’s newer “connected features”: automatic uploads to Garmin Connect, live tracking, and social media sharing.

Another feature that lets you see how you measure up to others is Garmin Connect segments. Once your ride is done and uploaded to Garmin Connect, you can see where you stand on the segment leaderboard.

All Day, Every Day

It’s not just the sleek design and high-resolution color display that will make you want to wear this the Forerunner 920XT all the time. It has a watch mode and has all the latest activity tracking features to measure your steps, sleep, and calories burned all day, giving you a more complete picture of your activity and health.

* HRM-Run monitor is included in the “Forerunner 920XT with HRM-Run Monitor” Bundle, not with the Forerunner 920XT watch only. The watch is compatible with other Garmin HR straps. The HRM-Tri and HRM-Swim monitors are included in the "Forerunner 920XT Tri Bundle."

** Speed/cadence sensor is available separately.

*** Forerunner 920XT can be paired with Garmin Vector (available separately) or third-party ANT+-compatible power meters.
