Kyle's Bikes Kids Bikes Trade-Up Program
We want you to have a safe, well-maintained, fun bicycle for your growing child. Our Kids Bikes Trade-Up Program is designed to make providing such a bike more affordable, so the fun lasts year after year.
Purchase a kids bike from Kyle's Bikes, bring it back within two years, and receive 50% of the original purchase price toward a new bike.
Which Bikes May I Trade Up From?
It must be a kids bike purchased new from Kyle's bikes within two years prior to the trade-up.
We define a kids bike as any bike with 10", 12", 16", 20", or 24" wheels designed for kids. This includes balance bikes. This does not include tricycles and BMX bikes.
Bikes purchased used are not included in this program.
Is the Bike's Condition Important?
The bike must be suitable for providing another child with a safe, well-maintained, fun bicycle. Therefore, the bike must be in good working condition and be cosmetically appealing to receive the 50% credit.
Good working condition: All tires have no less than 50% of tread remaining. Tubes hold air. There are no stripped nuts, bolts, or hex heads. Brakes and pads stop the bike adequately. Drivetrain components (gears, chain, shifters, etc.) are in good condition. Grips and seat are not torn. Wheels and frame are intact. All original accessories are present and not bent or torn. (e.g., baskets, training wheels, safety pads).
Cosmetically appealing: All parts are rust-free. Frame is not excessively scratched. Paint is not excessively chipped. (We do expect some minor scratches and marks.)
If the bike does not meet these standards but can be brought up to proper condition, the credit will be reduced based on our costs to bring the bike up to proper condition.
What Happens to My Old Bike?
Your old bike will make another child happy. We will fix it up (if necessary) and sell it as a used bike.
How Do I Receive the 50% Credit?
Bring your bike in to either of our retail locations. If you can, bring your original receipt, manuals, and other documentation (not required, but makes things easier). Then choose a new bike for your child, and we will apply the credit.
We allow one bike per trade. If you have two or more kids bikes to trade, you are welcome to apply each old bike's credit to a separate new bike. (For example, bring two old bikes, purchase two new bikes.)
